The effects of Cordyceps or Chinese caterpillar mushrooms are manifold, with outstanding disease-preventing and revitalising effects. It energises, oxygenates, and improves quality of life. It is a very powerful medicinal mushroom, widely used on its own and in mixtures.

Among its constituents, adenosine is the one that Cordyceps contains the most.
You may have heard that ATP is the energy provider in the mitochondria of our cells. The more ATP we have, the more energetic we are. The adenosine triphosphate molecule is almost readily available to the body in large quantities from the adenosine molecule present in Cordyceps mushrooms, which is why this medicinal mushroom has the most powerful energising effect and the fastest visible change in energy levels.

It can be given for a long time without harmful side effects.

The main benefits of Cordyceps for dogs:
Adaptogenic power: Strengthens the body's ability to withstand stress. Like an engine tester. It finds the weak points and helps where it's needed most. (Reishi is like that too.)

Immune booster: effective in boosting the immune system, but also effective in autoimmune diseases, where the body turns against itself due to an overactive immune system.
Great booster for lung and upper respiratory problems and reduces inflammation.

Kidney: a remedy for almost all kidney problems, it is popularly mixed into wet food.

Vitality: for weakness, atrophy. Oxygenates the body, including the brain. Best for regaining general vitality.

Sport and service dog performance is significantly improved.

Tumours: it is outstanding in preventing the development of tumours, it fights cancer in many ways by supporting the immune system.

Normalising blood sugar and balancing blood lipids

Bone: improves bone formation and bone marrow function.

Testosterone stimulant

Cordyceps is a rare and very powerful fungus.
For centuries, in traditional Chinese medicine, cordyceps has been known as an effective immune booster, and anti-aging, i.e., youthful vigour preserving, rejuvenating agent, and its multifaceted effects have been confirmed by recent research.
Cordyceps sinensis grows in the pupae of certain caterpillar species that are found only in the Himalayas and some other high mountain ranges.
There are so many proven health benefits of free-growing mushrooms that the wholesale price reached USD 77.777/kg years ago, which is equivalent to more than £64 thousand GBP/kg.
When artificial cultivation and production was developed, it was found that the mushrooms produced in cultivation were far inferior to their wild counterparts. Therefore, they are now cultivated in oxygen-depleted environments.
It has to imitate a high altitude so the air/oxygen is sucked out of the tent because during its development it has to struggle with the conditions, otherwise it will not produce the many valuable active substances (e.g. cordiceptin).
Reishi used to be the most commonly used species of medicinal mushroom because of its undisputed immune-boosting properties. Today, cordyceps has taken the lead, with its vitalising effects making it increasingly widely used.
